1. Existence of God;
God is the Supreme Intelligence, the first cause of all things. God is eternal, immutable, immaterial, unique, omnipotent, supremely just, and good.
The Universe is God’s creation. It encompasses all rational and non rational beings, animate and inanimate, material and immaterial.
2. Immortality of the soul;
A spirit is not an abstract, undefined being, conjured up by our imaginations. It is a real, distinct being that, in some cases, can be seen, heard, and touched.
The spiritual world is the normal, original, and eternal world, preexistent to and surviving everything else.
The physical world is only secondary. It could cease to exist, or never have existed, and this would have no effect on the essence of the spiritual world.”
People, therefore, have two natures: their bodies give them a physical or animal nature, of which they possess instincts, and their soul gives them a spiritual nature.
Spirits preserve their individuality before, during, and after each incarnation.
Spirits reincarnate as many times as it is necessary for their spiritual advancement.
3. Plurality of stocks;
The soul is an incarnated spirit whose body solely serves as an envelope (body).
Spirits are created simple and ignorant. They evolve intellectually and morally, passing from a lower order to a higher one until they attain perfection when they will enjoy unalterable bliss.
What connects the physical body to the Spirit is a semi-material body named perispirit.
Spirits temporarily don an ephemeral material envelope, which is destroyed upon death, and their freedom is restored.”
4. Plurality of inhabited worlds;
Incarnated spirits live in different worlds of the universe.
The are other inhabited worlds in the Universe, with beings at different degrees of evolution; some less, some equal, and others more evolved than human beings on Earth.
Wandering spirits, or those that are not incarnated, do not dwell in any fixed region. They are found throughout space and all around us, seeing us and interacting with us on a constant basis. They constitute an invisible population that is constantly active around us.”
5. Communicability of Spirits.
Spirits are incessantly involved in relations with humanity. Good spirits try to lead us to what is right, support us through the trials of life, and help us bear these trials with courage and submission. The immoral ones tempt us to do wrong. For them it is a pleasure to see us fail and, thus become more like them. It is our duty to distinguish between good and bad inspirations by exercising our judgment.
